I think "cosy" is really the word to describe Visby. The town has its history and it's proud of it, but at the same time, it is a small Swedish town, and reminds you of many children's books by Astrid Lindgren. I know many Swedes who say that they want to retire, buy a small house in Gotland and grow roses. Many others have made so, so please peek into the small gardens and see, what loving care and a suitable climate can do. If you are too shy for that, visit the Bothanical garden, then.
